2012 - The Imminent Threat

By now everyone has surely heard from one source or another - ancient Mayan lore, Hollywood propaganda, learned physicists, maybe even your own mother - that there is something out of the ordinary about the date December 21st, 2012. Perhaps you have asked yourself what specifically is happening in 2012 that has everyone all concerned about the continued posterity of humanity and went and checked out a few articles concerning the subject. If you have never heard of the significance surrounding 2012 then you should take special interest in today's posting, because 2012 is real, my friends. Very real.


I won't go over exactly how the cataclysm of 2012 will occur - that is useless. The fact is it is inevitable. It will happen and the only real question that remains is what to do afterward as humanity attempts to pick up the pieces of its shattered civilization.

The first thing to do is move away from the coast. You don't have to do it immediately but be aware that mountainside real estate is fast shrinking. That cozy beach side manor won't be near as comfortable buried under a mass of raging water. Two thirds of humanity currently resides within a 100 miles of the coast and it is very likely that when unprecedented tsunamis sweep the planet, two thirds of humanity will, sadly, no longer be with us. I implore you, take the high ground, you will be much better positioned for survival.

The next possibility to prepare for is the scorching heat that may ensue after a rash of erupting volcanoes or impertinent asteroid. One will be safest in an underground bunker complex with reinforced walls to prevent seismic damage, flooding, and of course, the life consuming heat of the apocalyptic surface of the planet earth on 2012. No doubt on this day of catastrophe people will be desperate for any sort of relief, but may I remind you that you have a responsibility not only to yourself, but the entire human species that most promising of our kind survive, and that those unfortunates who did not prepare do not jeopardize continuity of our entire species. So, I advise that you keep the construction of your safe house a secret from those who would endanger it.

A further menace is that of looting and pillaging, but those doing the pillaging may no longer be entirely recognizable. The US Government holds a frightening array of the earth's most deadly disease and pathogens in an ultra modern storage facility in Atlanta, and isolated facilities scattered across the globe. What's less known - and for obvious reason - are the full extent of the symptoms and side affects of many of these diseases and their now abundantly mutated off strains. Reports abound of abominable human mutations including 'zombification' after exposure to some of the more heinous specimens. We won't dare to conjecture whether this exposure was intentional or accidental, but the mere existence of these incidents should be enough to prompt the utmost wariness towards the US Government in even the most trusting of citizens. Furthermore, it is not a great stretch to assume that the Government's desire/ability to aid the common citizen in an apocalyptic situation such as this will be severely hampered and we should all be prepared to face the zombie rampage after the sundering earth exposes the masses to Government engineered pathogens.

The final threat I would like to bring to light is the possibility of invasion from beyond our Earthly frontiers. Yes, I speak, of course, of Swanhedlieons, the little known but much to be feared alien aggressors. Their origins remain largely unknown though our advanced researchers have discovered a few things of note about our unwanted visitors. Through advanced matter dissociation techniques and analysis of spectrum heat signatures, our research team was able to peer through the folds of space and time to catch a glimpse of the Swanhedlieon homeworld. It is located in the second quadrant of the milky way galaxy approximately 46 thousand light years distant.
